Host your final year project online

A viva demo over a live URL lands better than one on a laptop. Hosting for a final year project starts at ₹99 a month, charged in rupees, and you can cancel and get your balance back any time, so it is easy to justify for one semester.

What you get.

A live URL for your final year project, priced in rupees from ₹99 a month.

How it fits

Deploy it, step by step

The dashboard flow is the same for every project:

  1. Sign in with GitHub. Go to the dashboard and sign in. Your first sign-in puts 30 days of Nap credit in your balance, with no card and nothing to cancel.
  2. Create an application. Press New app and give it a name: three characters or more, letters, numbers and hyphens. The address is shown under the field as you type, and it is yourapp-yourlogin.dormhost.app.
  3. Pick the plan. Nap sleeps when nobody is using it. Awake never sleeps, which is what a bot, a worker or a scheduled job needs. Either way, you choose Mumbai, London or Ashburn.
  4. Point it at your repository. Paste the GitHub URL and the branch. Press Connect GitHub to pick from a list instead, which is also how a private repository is deployed. Then press Create and deploy.
  5. Watch the build log. The application opens on Overview, and Live logs streams the build. Listen on the port in the PORT variable we set, or EXPOSE one port in your Dockerfile, and the address answers as soon as the build finishes.

What is different about Final year project

  1. Create it on Nap. It sleeps between rehearsals and wakes on the next visit in about 300 milliseconds, which is why it costs ₹99.
  2. Move every credential out of the repository and into the Environment section before you submit the code.
  3. Take a backup from the Backups section the night before the viva. Images also keeps the previous build, so a late change can be rolled back in one click.
  4. Put the live address in the report. It is yourapp-yourlogin.dormhost.app until you point a domain of your own at it in the Domains section.
  5. Visit the app once a few minutes before the demo so it is already awake when the panel opens it.

Hosting is ₹99 a month on Nap, all in: the build, the running app, the database and the storage. Nothing is metered separately, so the bill cannot surprise you. Start with 30 days of free credit, no card required. The docs cover databases, domains and what to do when a build fails.
